Award-winning director Steven Ayromlooi planted the seeds of his career while earning his BFA

in Film and Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design with his highly acclaimed animated film,

RETURN OF THE SUN DEVIL -- a story of a mythic samurai coming out of retirement for one final battle.

Narrated by Seth MacFarlane (FAMILY GUY, TED, ORVILLE), SUN DEVIL screened at more than 45 festivals around the world, received 10 Jury prizes, and was honored by winning the Academy Award in the student category

(past winners include Robert Zemeckis, John Lasseter, and Spike Lee).

It was also invited for a special screening at the Smithsonian Institute and the New York Public Library requested a

film print to add to their permanent collection of films.

Ayromlooi made his studio feature film debut at Lionsgate by writing and directing LEPRECHAUN 6,

starring Warwick Davis (LIFE'S TOO SHORT, WILLOW, HARRY POTTER series, RETURN OF THE JEDI),

Laz Alonso (AVATAR, FAST & FURIOUS, THE BOYS), and Sticky Fingaz (NEXT FRIDAY, BLADE).

Over the years, Ayromlooi continued to get work at the helm of feature film projects before deciding to come full circle and return to his true passion -- by making the short film, THE SUN DEVIL AND THE PRINCESS -- which just wrapped its 75 festival run and won 20 awards while also touring the world with over 40 comic cons,

including San Diego Comic Con, a Wizard World tour, and Dragon Con.

Ayromlooi’s background as a painter and sculptor served him in creating an entirely unique, fantastical world with its own visual and spiritual mythology. Utilizing some of the greatest talent in Hollywood, it stars Evan Parke (DJANGO UNCHAINED, KING KONG), Mandy Amano (PROXY KILL, CRANK 2) and Tony Todd (TRANSFORMERS, THE ROCK, FINAL DESTINATION). SUN DEVIL also features the talents of Oscar-winning SFX makeup artist Rob Burman (STAR TREK), the VFX of three-time Oscar-winning Skotak Brothers (ALIENS, TERMINATOR 2, BATMAN RETURNS), and epic fight sequences coordinated by the one and only John Koyama, who trained and fought with Tom Cruise on

THE LAST SAMURAI.

He also co-wrote the screenplay adaptation of Robert Allan Ackerman's stage play, TOLSTOY IN SUFFOLK, with Ackerman himself. Entitled TOLSTOY OF ESSEX, it is currently heading into production with Danny Huston and Guy Pearce attached as the leads.

Ayromlooi's next project, KOREATOWN, written by Robert Allan Ackerman & Sohee Park,

is a surreal neo-noir dark comedy set in LA's famous Koreatown.
